Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. Hands down. You get to eat all your favorite foods, visit with family and you don’t have to buy them any presents! It’s great! This year, we had a smaller crowd for Thanksgiving. Only 5. It was great to see my brother, I was actually excited to visit with him. I guess that’s what happens when you get older and treat each other like adults and not like buttheads. My mom cooked a ton of food, which worked out nicely for my brother and I…hello care packages! I brought a fairly large container with me to bring said leftovers home. We had turkey, ham, stuffing (cooked IN the bird, thank you very much), yams, perogies, mashed potatoes, mushroom gravy, salad and roasted beets. SO delicious. Pumpkin pie for dessert, a few glasses of wine…it was great! Mozart was especially pleased to have his share of the turkey. It’s his favorite part of the holidays, and makes up for me leaving him alone for so long.
Not so great? Waking up this morning with a cold. I’m exceptionally sneezy and sniffley. It could have come from the majority of the people I work with – lots were sick last week. It could have come from our Little, who I hung out with on Saturday. He was sniffling like crazy and we played video games…making me think his germs infiltrated my system. Here’s a mental picture for you: as I’m typing this, I have Kleenex shoved up my nose.
That being said, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, whether it was with family, friends, or solo.
