How many times does a person reset their life style change? Holy smokes! I know losing weight and making the right choices isn’t always easy, but I feel like every so often I lose motivation – regardless of the incentive. It’s like I give up. Do you ever feel like that?
So here I am, another binge in the books. Ate a LOT of pizza…went to a Hallowe’en Party…and oh yeah, they had Monopoly at McDonald’s. We ate a loooot of McDonald’s the last couple of months. No, we didn’t win anything except more food.
I think I’ve determined what some of my issues are that keep me from reaching my goals, and they’re totally self-sabotage. Which is weird, not sure why I do it. Lack of consistency is key here. The boyfriend comes home from work for the week and I’m thrown off….haven’t been doing the 30 Day Shred…haven’t been running or in a gym in a loooong time. No good. He’s really supportive with our food choices though. If I want to make something healthy for a meal, he’ll eat it no problem, no complaints. That being said, he’ll also eat a bag of M & M’s in front of me.
I also have a bunch of supportive friends. We tell each other what we’ve eaten…we motivate each other to do better…and for awhile it was working. But I think all three of us lost our focus and now we’re all struggling.
My trainer had me eating more than I was before; he said I wasn’t eating enough. That being said, I feel like I’m allowing myself the excuse that it’s okay to eat more, and now I’m packing the pounds back on, so I’m going to go back to around the 1400 calorie mark and go from there. I WAS having success with it, when I WAS exercising regularly. I am also still tracking my food on MFP, and that’s been a big help. I like being able to see what I’ve eaten and play around with the values to get the most out of my day. I need to get back in the gym. Pronto. My plan is to give them a call today, find out the winter hours, and go from there. Set up a routine again and get sweating! I’d also like to re-incorporate the 30 Day Shred….but I think if I make myself do too many things at once I’ll just get frustrated and quit.
Do you have any tips that you use to stay on track that you would like to share?
